The kitchen sees every ticket as soon as it arrives.

Orders from the till, the phone and the ordering page appear on the kitchen display, split by station. The kitchen taps «in progress» and «done», and the counter sees it.

No slip falling off the rail.

On a Friday there are twenty tickets on the rail, one is covered in grease, and the one with the nut allergy is right at the back. On the kitchen display every ticket is at the station that has to cook it, with the time it has been waiting.

How it works.

  1. 1

    A ticket comes in

From the till, the phone or the ordering page, with extras and notes.

  2. 2

    Each station sees its part

Pizza to the oven, salad to the cold kitchen, drinks to the bar. The pass sees everything together.

  3. 3

    In progress, done

One tap per step. After 10 and 15 minutes the ticket changes colour.

  4. 4

    Recall

If something is missing from the plate, you bring the finished ticket back onto the screen.

What the kitchen sees.

Details from the new kitchen interface, with demo data.

Allergy notes, clearly in view.

The nut allergy is in colour at the very top of the ticket, not somewhere in the note. The kitchen confirms it with one tap before carrying on. If front of house changes something after sending, the change is marked.

  • Confirm with one tap
  • Changes after sending are marked

Each station sees only its part.

Pizza oven, grill, cold, dessert, drinks: you decide which category goes where. At the pass the parts come back together, and the plate goes out when everything is ready.

  • CoursesStarter, main, dessert. The kitchen cooks the next course when front of house calls it.

Questions about the kitchen display

All questions

Do I need a special screen?
No. A tablet, a PC or a screen with a browser is enough. You pair it in the Management dashboard with a code.
Can the kitchen still print tickets?
Yes. Through the Forn Connector on Windows, the kitchen can also print on paper, for example at a station without a screen.
How does an allergy get to the kitchen?
Front of house, or the guest on the ordering page, enters it. On the kitchen display it sits in colour at the top of the ticket and has to be confirmed. Responsibility for preparing the food stays with the kitchen.
